Charlotte Church

Charlotte Church, a Welsh musician who was 12 when she released her debut record "Voice of an Angel" was a star in the making. Charlotte Church is a skilled artist, as well as having performed on stage and acted in a TV show. From the age of three years old, the artist has performed in public. She started out as an hymn singer, and eventually sang "Pie Jesu" via the telephone for a TV show at age eleven. It was then followed by her performances on "The Big Big Talent Show" which brought her to the notice of the public. She was invited to sing in performances held at Cardiff Arms Park and the Royal Albert Hall. Charlotte's musical talent was discovered by Jonathan Shalit, one of UK's most successful entertainment executives and who assisted her in signing a contract to Sony Music and became her manager. In 1999, her debut album "Voice of an Angel" became an immediate hit. This made Charlotte the first musician of her age to reach an overall top 10 spot. The British cross-country charts placed her album as No. number one in 1999. The popularity of her music continued to grow over the years and she has been invited to perform for celebrities like the former US President Clinton, the Prince of Wales Charles as well as Pope John Paul II.
